The Ultimate Fighting Championship kicked up the month of March with a star-studded UFC 259 pay-per-view featuring a whopping three championship bouts.

When the night was all said and done, two titles were retained while one bit switched had after a shocking disqualification.

To kick off the championship action, Aljamain Sterling became the new bantamweight champion after taking an illegal knee flush to the head. Ringside doctors and the referee deemed Sterling was unable to continue after the intentional foul and he was declared the new 135-pound champion.

In the co-main event, Amanda Nunes continued her dominance with a TKO victory over Megan Anderson in just two minutes.

Finally, in the main event, Jan Blachowicz spoiled middleweight champion Israel Adesanya’s attempt to become a two-division champion by earning a close unanimous decision to retain the light heavyweight strap.

The main card also featured a dominant performance from Islam Makhachev, a close training of Khabib Nurmagomedov who many think can be the next big UFC star.
