The Ultimate Fighting Championship returns to action this weekend with UFC on ESPN+ 40 at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The event is headlined by a light heavyweight scrap between two of the top contenders at 205-pounds, Thiago Santos and Glover Teixeira. Unfortunately, the fight is not for the next title shot after UFC boss Dana White said middleweight champion Israel Adesanya will be the next challenger at 205.
In the co-main event of the night, heavyweights Andrei Arlovski and Tanner Boser square off.
Other bouts on the main card include Raoni Barcelos vs. Khalid Taha at lightweight, Ian Heinisch vs. Brendan Allen at middleweight, and a strawweight main card opener between former champion Claudia Gadelha and Xiaonan Yan.
Before the fights could become official, all of the fighters had to step onto the scale for the weigh-ins at the UFC Apex on Friday afternoon.
