Ryan Newman is walking around the Daytona medical center where he was sent after his wicked crash during the end of the Daytona 500, even smiling with his daughters. “Ryan Newman continues to show great improvement after Monday night’s last-lap accident at Daytona International Speedway,” Roush Fenway Racing said in a statement.
Then Roush released a photo of Newman smiling with his daughters. Looks like a guy who’s about ready to get back in a car. Maybe a week off and then get after it in California. Tough as nails.
Update: Ryan Newman has walked out of the Halifax Medical Center.
