“The Mechanic” Miguel Angel Jimenez won the British Senior Open this weekend at The Old Course which is a hell of an accomplishment and yada yada yada. I’m not here to break down Miguel’s performance on Senior Tour this weekend. We have to talk about this move he pulled in his final round. Sunglasses UNDER the hat???
We all know Jimenez is known for his trademark aviators, but with rain yesterday and cloud cover today he had no use for them. But instead of putting them away in his bag or going with the sunglasses over the hat move, he had them sitting on his head with the hat covering only for them to be revealed after sinking the final putt on 18.

WILD move and one I’m not sure I’ve seen anywhere, let alone in golf. I don’t want to go as far as calling it a psych move, but it’s close. I’m not sure we can trust people who pull this. The execution makes no sense. How was this not super uncomfortable? You can’t pull the hat all the way down or it smashes the shades. The fact that he likely played 18 holes this way and won makes it even more bizarre.
The most interesting man in golf continues to surprise.
Looks like they were still under there during the trophy presentation
