Phil Mickelson Triumphant In His Return To Hole No. 13


Surprisingly Phil Mickelson wasn’t murdered by a mob of golf purists and media on Saturday after allegedly disrespecting the sanctity of the game by striking a moving ball on hole No. 13. Never mind the fact that he was assessed a two-stroke penalty and nowhere near the top of the leaderboard, golf is a gentleman’s game — there’s no room for deviance according to the real golfers out there who haven’t won majors.


Did Lefty succumb to the outcry and withdraw from the final round? Hell no. Dude went out there and shot a 69 for the second time in this tourney. He also returned to No. 13 in grand fashion, hitting a par and subsequently celebrating like he won it all. A nice middle finger to everyone he triggered.

Hopefully Ian O’Connor didn’t have a stroke after watching this mock celebration:
