Just a week after Jameson Taillon invited teammates to piss on his hand to remedy a cut, we have another baseball urination story courtesy of Dodgers lefty Rich Hill.
Poor Rich has been dealing with blisters this season, and was forced to leave his start against the Nats over the weekend after just two pitches. It was the second time this month a blister problem has prematurely forced him out of an outing, and he’s expected to miss four weeks this time around.
Dodgers fans are probably tired of Rich and his ongoing blister episodes by now, but they should at least know he is desperate to find a solution. The LA Times’ Andy McCullough detailed three somewhat gross options Rich has been “experimenting” with:
Rich Hill has been experimenting with various treatments for the blister, including receiving laser therapy, chugging apple cider vinegar and urinating on his hand.

If this sounds familiar, it’s because this isn’t the first time Rich has turned to urine as a potential cure — he did it in 2016, too:
Rich Hill said he heard and tried many remedies to help his blister, including urine. "You might as well try."

As far as non-foul options to get him on the mound are concerned, Rich has also asked the MLB if he can pitch with tape on his hand:
Rich Hill plans to ask MLB if he can pitch with tape on his wounded left middle finger.

Basically the Dodgers are going to be without Rich for another month. The good news is the Diamondbacks are slumping hard and they have top prospect Walker Buehler to hold down the fort for a while.
