Mets P Hansel Robles Punctuates Choke Job By Throwing 3-2 Pitch to Backstop

You know what’s worse than having a reliever with a sky-high ERA on your 25-man roster? Using said reliever in high-leverage situations. Sadly for Mets fans, skipper Terry Collins apparently subscribes to that losing philosophy as he allowed Hansel Robles and his mid-5 ERA to meltdown in epic fashion against the Rockies this afternoon.
To Robles’ credit, he did pitch a clean eighth inning before his choke job in the ninth, which featured a HBP, intentional walk, walk, and, you guessed it, walk! But this was no ordinary base on balls as Robles airmailed his 3-2 pitch to Nolan Arenado to clinch the L:



That right there is the very definition of pooping your pants.
