I (and pretty much everyone else in the sports blogosphere) will never let up on fake Mets prospect Tim Tebow, but I have to give the guy credit — he’s still on par with Angels left fielder Cameron Maybin. Two weeks ago I told you guys that Tebow had more hits than Maybin; fast-forward to today and they’re somehow level at four hits a piece.
Maybin has another opportunity to surpass Tebow, because the Mets outfielder had the misfortune of facing Max Scherzer this afternoon. He went 0-3 with 2 strikeouts — none more humbling than this one where he saw three straight fastballs:
