We are only through a week of play at the World Baseball Classic, but it’s become very apparent early on who the breakout star of the international tournament is. Baseball nerds will argue it’s been Team Israel, or maybe USA outfielder Christian Yelich, but upon further digging it’s safe to say the honor goes to the gorilla mascot of Team Mexico.
Bleacher Report’s Joon Lee has been documenting the chronicles of the Mexican gorilla the past few days, and the content is nothing short of electrifying.
