Yep, people gambled a shit-ton of $$ on the Super Bowl
It was a $138.5 million handle for Vegas casinos on Sunday. That’s a record. From the Las Vegas Sun: The handle topped the previous record (last year’s Super Bowl between Denver and Carolina) by nearly $6 million. The books cashed in with a $10.9 million profit, or 7.9 percent of the total money wagered on the game. That number was down from last year when the books won more than 10 percent. Nevada sports books have now come out on top in nine straight Super Bowls and have only lost twice since 1990. Remember this when your boy acts like all he does is win. He’s a liar. And there’s a really good chance he’s broke from sports gambling.

AJ Hawk was with the Falcons for 3 games this season. He gets $51,000 for Atlanta's NFC title game & Super Bowl appearances (1/2 share).
