AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA…Ben Boulware, Clemson’s linebacker, is one guy who’s not going to forget the haters and he’s coming for that ass. You always hear these football players screaming into a mic after the national championship game or the Super Bowl how “nobody believed in us.” It seems Boulware kept it all boiling inside until this week when he let off some steam by going out and getting a national championship tattoo on his achilles as a giant f-you to Desmond Howard, who had some words about Clemson’s weak link – the linebackers.
Let’s not forget that Dalvin Cook went for 169 and 4 TDs on Clemson back in October, but Clemson won 37-34. Desmond saw a weakness — he can’t just sit there and praise Clemson as a complete team or we’re getting bad TV — and called it out.
And then Boulware and the boys went out and gave up 221 rushing yards to Alabama. Good for Ben and Clemson for winning the title. It’s a good thing he had DeShaun Watson around to bail out the defense because we all saw what Scarborough did to that defense before getting hurt.
.@DesmondHoward remember saying this? was thinking of a place to put my National Championship tattoo and what better place than my achilles😏 pic.twitter.com/LQqBMrwW3l
