The Las Vegas Raiders are a step closer to becoming a reality now that we have renderings of what the Vegas stadium will look like once the state, county and city figure out how much the taxpayers will contribute to make the NFL in Sin City a reality. Dreams do come true, fellas. I’m right there with you thinking of all the possibilities surrounding a guy’s weekend that includes going to a game even if it’s not your team playing the Raiders.
This location just south of Mandalay Bay is currently a golf course. Think about that location. Easy trip down The Strip on Sundays. Great location for the eventual Super Bowl that’s coming to Vegas. Plenty of spots to create a fan experience with multiple ESPN stages for Super Bowl Media week. Great access from the south to avoid Strip traffic.
How close is all this to happening? My old attorney, Darren Heitner, reports on Forbes that the Raiders have filed trademark applications for “Las Vegas Raiders.”
