I’m going to get ripped for this one by the ‘this isn’t news’ crowd who can’t figure out why people are so fascinated by unemployed NFL QB Johnny Manziel, but they’ll take time out of their busy day to send me messages trying to figure out the fascination. So I keep giving them material to be fascinated by. Pageviews? Sure. Trolling? Sure. Call it what you want, Johnny Lovett is pure entertainment and that’s my job.
I’ve been asked multiple times over the last couple weeks about what I do for a living. I continue to use the same line: My job is to entertain the miserable 22-to-ageless male who is stuck in a cubicle hating life and needs an escape. We’ve picked up female readers along the way and the college crowd seems to like the material, but the premise behind BC from way back in 2007 remains the same.
So we give you guys things like Johnny Manziel starting an IG for his dogs, Ollie and Chubbs.
Chubbs is the French Bulldog. Ollie seems to be a mutt. They get captions like “Real recognize real,” and “Catching zZz’s with my jigga” on their IG pics. Chubbs gets treated like he’s being lifted by JR Smith in the Cavs parade.
Johnny’s three days into this project and it seems to be coming along just fine. The dogs seem to love their lives. They get to do things like walk on the pool table.

This all has to be part of the upcoming reality show, right? I mean, there’s the Cabo trip, smoking weed on the Cabo beach, the Hawaii trip, the new summer apartment, the Lyle Lovett look, the double cupping, the quote about not giving up drinking for life. I’m starting to think cameras have been rolling the entire time.
