Take a Look at Joey Votto “Thinking” in the Batter’s Box

If you’re tired of the same old batter routines of adjusting gloves, taking practice hacks, or smelling the bat after a foul ball, Reds first baseman Joey Votto has something new for you. It definitely might make you uncomfortable, but whatever, it’s different.
During Sundays Reds-Dodgers game, Votto dumbfounded broadcasters during an at-bat by leaning over his bat in between pitches. As you can see below, he just casually places his hands on his knees and rests the lumber on his crotch like it’s no big deal:

Dodgers beat reporter Ken Gurnick got to the bottom of this and discovered he’s just thinking:


 
Votto, of course, is known for walking like a mad man, so we’re not questioning his methods at all.

Hopefully his LeBron chalk toss also becomes a fixture this season:
