With spring training on the horizon, MLB players have been super busy letting us know they’re grinding in the gym. Brett Lawrie is busy box jumping, Mike Trout is pushing massive tires, and Hector Santiago is kissing his wife — all pretty standard stuff.
But it’s not just the young guns with their eyes set on showing up to camp in top shape, as Mets pitcher Bartolo Colon got in the action with some rope exercises:
You've seen the Trout tire workout and Hector Santiago kiss/push-up/sit-up combo. It's Bartolo Colon in the DR time! pic.twitter.com/G6LxOX5D9e

Give Bartolo Colon credit. He's 43 in May & is already grinding for 2016. He also runs an academy for teen prospects pic.twitter.com/R3fQJyajtp

Honestly, I didn’t think Big Bart worked out anymore. It seemed like he just had an innate ability to toss low-90s fastballs with movement, but here he is working out like everyone else. Guess he has something to prove after landing a $7.5 million deal.
