Here we go with the Final Four on New Year’s Eve
Remember when I kept saying that ESPN NEEDED Ohio State in the Final Four? ESPN wouldn’t need to run 4,000 Final Four promos a day across the Disney family of networks if Ohio State was playing today. The country would be prepared. The hate would be flowing. Buckeyes fans would burn 2016 vacation time on the last day of 2015 to sit at home and watch. Instead, we’re left with Bama against beat up Michigan State and a Clemson-Oklahoma matchup that has next to zero buzz. ESPN’s going to lose its ass on this one. Too many people will be running around at 4 EST. Meanwhile, the ESPN PR machine got the New York Times to report that the WWL wants to “dominate New Year’s Eve.”

Tomorrow, 6 years & 30 days after being fired, is Charlie Weis’ last day on Notre Dame’s payroll. His buyout likely comes to $19 million.
