In case you’ve yet to pick up the book, “Breaking Cardinal Rules: Basketball and the Escort Queen,” and are jonesing for details on the Louisville sex scandal, we’ve got you covered.
Last week’s Yahoo report mentioned that Louisville staffer Andre McGee paid $10,000 to madam Katina Powell for her services, but it turns out those services weren’t just for players — details via The Daily Mail:

Players and recruits were not the only ones who allegedly participated in Powell’s parties.
Quoting from her diary, the book states that the father of one of the recruits ‘said he more than likely will send his son to Louisville due to the “more than extra” activities. He said he will call in the morning for two dancers if he has time before he leaves.’

It’s also been reported that some of those dancers were Powell’s daughters — a detail she seems to be very proud of:

‘People may think that I expose my kids,’ an excerpt from Powell’s diary printed in the book reads. ‘But, s***, they enjoy themlselves, they meet new people Believe me, they have their own lives, but they enjoy the perks of shows.
‘For those who have a problem wit’ this, kiss my a**.’

As far as prices were concerned, Powell states McGee would figure out who recruits wanted to have sex with and then negotiate a price:

‘Then he would work a side-deal with me to negotiate the price. Usually $100-$120 each. Pay was always upfront. … After the dancing, some of them went into others rooms with players.’

Those prices seem to line up with the experience of former Louisville recruit (and current Ohio State basketball player) JaQuan Lyle (via CBS Sports):

In it, Katina Powell, a self-described madam, writes that she took four escorts, at the request of former Louisville staff member Andre McGee, to do a “show” for a “new recruit named JaQuan Lyle.”
“I took Rod-Ni, TooTall, Jazmine and Shay, who calls herself Sammi,” Powell wrote in a journal entry. “TooTall made $100, Shay made $100, and Jazzy made nothing because she did absolutely nothing.”

In total, McGee paid $10,000 (for 22 parties) from 2010-2014 for Powell’s services before leaving for the University of Missouri — Kansas City.
