Crazy Ohio State Fans Walk 19 Miles, Spells ‘Ohio’ on Google Maps

The buzz surrounding Ohio State’s home opener against Virginia Tech is immense. People rightfully can’t wait to see Braxton Miller at wide receiver, Cardale Jones (or J.T. Barrett) at quarterback and the Ronda Rousey cutout heads in the stands. However, the wait for the calendar to turn to Sept. 7 appears to be taking its toll on some Buckeyes fans — specifically Columbus Reddit user, “Orweezy,” and his coworkers.
In fact, Orweezy and his group decided they would kick off the season early by participating in a Script Ohio walk, with the “I” being dotted on Ohio Stadium:

My coworker friends and thought it would be cool to start off the football season by mapping and walking the Ohio Script this past weekend and using the stadium as the “I” dotting.

Of course, it didn’t take long for the group to realize anything but walking would have made this 19-mile venture far more tolerable:

LOL, we got like 8 miles into it and thought…. “you know this would have been better if we biked it” It took us 6 and a half hours of walking but we made a few bar stops so from 6:30am through 2:45pm. We were doing a work competition about fitness and the metrics used was time, so we walked everywhere and I think we just carried it over. I would rather bike it next time for sure.

Over six hours!? No work competition is worth that amount of time.
As for next year’s script walk, forget the bikes — just drive it. You’ll still get the “cool” Google Maps photo at the end of the day.
