Former Horse Steroid User Alex Colome Calls Himself “The Horse”

One of these days, we won’t see Alex Colome crack a top prospects list for the Tampa Bay Rays, right? The guy is 26-years-old now and his name still pops up on Baseball America and Minor League Ball lists.
Checking up on his stats, he was actually in the majors for 23 innings last season, but I guess using Boldenon—a steroid used to treat horses—wasn’t a bright idea.
On the plus side, it appears that Colome is embracing his use of horse products and has appropriately nicknamed himself, “The Horse:”

Surely Alex sees the comedy in this.
If you’re a fantasy baseball nerd curious about the context of the tweet, it looks like he finally got his Visa situation sorted out.
We’ll see if “The Horse” is able to stay clean, and on a roster, in 2015.
