While America continues to overreact to some footballs that may or may not have been tampered with, a sexism dispute erupted at the Australian Open after some weirdo tennis presenter asked Eugenie Bouchard to give the crowd a little twirl after her second round victory over Kiki Bertens.
To make matters worse, the twirl was preceded by some questions about her (and Serena Williams’) fashion on the court. To her credit, she didn’t seem to think too much about the whole fiasco (via CBC):
I don’t know, an old guy asking you to twirl. It was funny.
Of course, the Internet disagrees and is pretty close to branding the thing #twirlgate:
