The Popeyes Bahamas Bowl between Central Michigan and Western Kentucky was looking like an absolute snoozefest through three quarters of play. The game should have been over with the Hilltoppers up 49-14 to start the final period.
Then suddenly the Chippewas started picking up some steam, scoring 28 unanswered points to cut the lead to 49-42 with a minute and change left in the game. After a quick three-and-out by the Hilltoppers, CMU got once last chance to heave up a prayer from their own 25—and it was answered with this wild play:
