Muffed Field Goal Attempt Leads to Clinching Touchdown for SUNY Cortland

While everyone was freaking out about Alabama and Florida State last weekend, SUNY Cortland and Ithaca engaged in an epic Cortaca Jug battle.
The game literally went down to the last second, with Cortland moving down the field to set themselves up for a game-tying field goal to force overtime. But as fate would have it, Cortland didn’t just tie the game—they won the damn Jug.
With about 25 seconds left in the contest, Cortland’s special teams unit comes in for the field goal attempt with the exception of placeholder Luke Hinton, who kind of lags behind. Eventually, he does set up and the ball is snapped in time, but Hinton muffs the hold. He doesn’t panic, however, rolling to his left to find receiver Jon Mannix for the clincher.
