If you followed BC over the years you know we’re big time College GameDay fans. Nobody grinds out the best sign blogs quite like us. I’m up at 8 AM every Saturday morning waiting for SportsCenter to do live look-ins to the GameDay set so I can take a picture of my shitty TV and have the funniest signs before everyone else. So when I heard Lee Corso announced where week 1 was going to be I got giddy.
Here’s what he said to The Opening Kickoff on WNSP-FM 105.5 (via AL.com):
“We’re going to Alabama-Florida State,” he said. “It’s going to be that one because it is two excellent football teams. We’re going to be starting the season going to a tremendous football game.”
We all probably could’ve guessed that, but just hearing it has me ready to run through a brick wall. For those who don’t know, that means they’ll be in downtown Atlanta for the opening of their big ass new stadium. The fighting Sabans vs. the Fighting Jimbos, it should be fun.
Only a 104 days left people, football season can’t get here son enough.
