A minor league baseball player provided fans with a laugh when he hilariously tried to get to first base.
In a Class AA Minor League Baseball game between the Arkansas Travelers and the Wichita Wind Surge, Travelers first baseman Robbie Tenerowicz hit a ground ball and was on his way to first base. The base path was blocked, so Tenerowicz retreated back toward home plate.
Realizing there was nothing he could do, Tenerowicz made his way back towards the Wind Surge first baseman, stopped, and then pretended to fire up a jump shot and leaned into the first baseman to “draw a foul.” Of course, he was tagged out, but Tenerowicz turned to the ump with his arms out asking where the whistle was which led to applause from the crowd.

This is the kind of thing you would expect to see from the Savannah Bananas, but I’m all for viral moments like this invading baseball at all levels.
