A horrifying video surfaced this week out of Matanzas High School in Palm Coast, Florida. The video shows a 17-year-old boy brutally beating a teacher’s aide unconscious.

The attack happened after the teacher’s aide confiscated the student’s Nintendo Switch, according to NBC News.

Footage of the attack was captured on security cameras which show the teenager — who is 6-foot-6, 270 pounds — rushing into the woman and sending her flying to the ground where she immediately went unconscious. He proceeded to punch and kick the woman while she was knocked out until people finally came to help the woman and break up the attack.

According to the Flager County Sheriff’s Office, the woman suffered “severe injuries.”

“The actions of this student are absolutely horrendous and completely uncalled for,” Flagler County Sheriff Rick Staly said. “We hope the victim will be able to recover, both mentally and physically, from this incident. Thankfully, students and staff members came to the victim’s aid before the SRDs could arrive. Our schools should be a safe place – for both employees and students.”

The student who attacked the teacher’s aide was arrested when police arrived at the school. He was turned over to the Department of Juvenile Justice and charged with felony aggravated battery with bodily harm.
