Finnish cross country skier Remi Lindholm suffered an unfortunate injury during the men’s 50km mass start event at the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing.
Lindholm was competing in the race when his third pole began to feel “unbearable pain.”
As it turned out, Lindholm’s tender member was a frozen penis.
“You can guess which body part was a little bit frozen when I finished,” Lindholm told the media. “It was one of the worst competitions I’ve been in. It was just about battling through.
“When the body parts started to warm up after the finish, the pain was unbearable.”
Lindholm needed a heat pack to thaw himself out.
The race was delayed by an hour and shortened from 50km to 30km due to the brutally cold weather.
Despite his frozen penis, Lindholm finished in 28th place out of 60 competitors.
Lindholm is apparently no stranger to battling through a frozen penis, suffering from the same situation at an event in Finland last year.
