It is time to start getting excited about HBO’s new drama series Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty. The Adam McKay-produced series follows the lives of the 1980s Los Angeles Lakers players on and off the court.
On Thursday, we got our first-look at the series with an official teaser released by HBO Max on YouTube and other social media channels.
A specific premiere date has not been announced, but the series will be coming in March 2022.
Winning Time is based on Jeff Pearlman’s book “Showtime: Magic, Kareem, Riley, and the Los Angeles Lakers Dynasty of the 1980s.”
