The first College Football Playoff rankings of the season were released on Tuesday night and there were plenty of eyebrows raised.

We should have expected your usual powerhouses to top the list, so when the Alabama Crimson Tide checked in at No. 2, it was disappointing but an expected move. But what about the undefeated Cincinnati Bearcats?

Well, not only was Cincinnati left out of the initial College Football Playoff picture, the Bearcats were left out of the top five and checked in at No. 6.

Plenty of people immediately called out the selection committee for disrespecting Cincinnati.

However, there is some hope. If Georgia can knock off Alabama in the SEC Championship Game and chaos ensues in the Big Ten, we could see Cincinnati sliding into the final four.
