Paige VanZant has always been one of the most marketable athletes in combat sports, but she is earning more on her own than she has from any promotion.

VanZant left the UFC last August and has since signed a reported multi-million dollar deal with Bareknuckle Fighting Championship. But while she has earned plenty inside of the ring and cage, it is VanZant’s new exclusive fan website that is really raking in the dough.

According to VanZant, she earns more from subscription fees in one month than she has in her entire career with the UFC and more than her current contract with BKFC.

“I’m sharing what I’m comfortable with,” VanZant said, as transcribed by Bloody Elbow. “I’m sharing as much as I want to. It’s my website. It’s my experience. It is for the fans. I’ve had so many people ask me to do something like this, the exclusive content site and it’s a place where I can communicate one-on-one with absolutely every single one of my subscribers, and I can’t do that on Instagram. I have nearly 3 million followers on Instagram and Twitter and Facebook and all these other things.

“I will say when I signed with BKFC, the bare-knuckle boxing, I was making more money than I had made in my entire UFC career. Now I’m making more money than my entire BKFC contract in like a month. It’s pretty crazy.”

And that’s how you take advantage of your marketability. Fighters going out on their own and using their platforms for revenue streams is exactly what everyone should be doing.

As for when we will see VanZant back in action, she is scheduled to fight Rachel Ostovich at BKFC 19 on July 23.
