Paige VanZant Earned More Dancing With The Stars Than In All UFC Fights Combined

Paige VanZant knows that she could be earning a lot more money than she currently is under her current UFC deal. VanZant, who fights on UFC Fight Island next month, currently makes $46,000 to show and $46,000 to win. It may seem like a solid chunk of change on the surface, but she revealed just how little of a dent it makes in her account.

According to VanZant, she earned more during an appearance on Dancing With the Stars than she has in all of her UFC fights combined — and that includes any bonuses.

VanZant made her claim during an interview with ESPN’s Ariel Helwani. And if that wasn’t bad enough, VanZant also noted that she can make more money lounging around in her bikinis and posing for photos than she does to get punched in the face.

Ouch, Dana White.

“With endorsements, I make way more money sitting at home posting pictures on Instagram than I do fighting,” VanZant said. “With endorsement deals and everything I pull in from social media, I would actually be at a loss just taking a fight.

“If I were to stop everything I do outside of fighting and just fight, I would be at a loss unfortunately, by a long shot, so it’s just with TV endorsements, all the things I do, coming off of Sports Illustrated, it’s just like, if I’m going to keep breaking my arm, if I’m going to keep bleeding and sacrificing for this sport, I feel like it’s all fighters and all female fighters need to be recognized.”

Now we know why more and more fighters are speaking out about fighter pay.
