Jameis Winston threw for 5,109 yards this season as the Tampa Bay quarterback and had successful LASIK surgery this week. Let that sink in for a minute. Granted, there was also a 33 TDs to 30 INTs ratio, but that’s where this LASIK surgery could turn Jameis into a 5,200/45/15 QB. Think about that!!
Patrick Mahomes hit that 50 TD mark in 2018 so it’s not out of the question to think that Jameis could get to that number, especially playing in so many sloppy 4th quarter games. Either Jameis is blasting some fools like the Rams or launching 70-yard bombs trying to come back from 28 down. Folks, you add in the new eyesight and it’s crazy to think that the guy who led the league in passing yards in 2019 could be the comeback player of the year in 2020. I know, it’s an odd statement, but think about it for a minute. Have we ever seen a guy with bad eyesight lead the NFL in passing yards? WILD.
“He didn’t want to count out any options that he had that could possibly help him with the game he loves so much. He doesn’t want to miss out on an opportunity that presents itself,” Winston’s publicist, Denise White, told Rapoport. “This is the game he loves and he wants to be the best at it and if there are any options that can improve his game he is willing to do it.”
But you guys aren’t here to see me ramble on, you want to see what the NSFWBDs think of all this. They’re historically not huge fans of Jameis. I’m not sure what the story is, probably because he’s sitting there in Tampa with not much buzz. This eyesight thing is going to be huge in 2020. Word of this will spread and the BDs will bring it up non-stop come September.
