The NBA playoffs are always an exciting time for players and fans. The playoffs are still keen to have some of the most clutch moments in basketball history. Players have taken it upon of themselves to come up big when the light is shining the brightest on them. A big play in crunch time, especially in the playoffs, is a highlight in the individual’s career. Let’s look at the top 10 clutch moments in the modern NBA Playoff history.

10. Vinsanity In Dallas

It is the 2014 playoffs, Game 3 of the first-round matchup between the San Antonio Spurs and the Dallas Mavericks, the Mavericks were down 2 with 4 seconds left in the game. The Mavericks were inbounding the ball and found Vince Carter in the corner, and Carter hit the three to give the Mavericks the one-point lead and the win.

9. King James Seals Pacers Fate

LeBron James has hit two game-winners on the Indiana Pacers on two separate occasions. One when he was on the Miami Heat in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals in overtime to give the Heat the lead. The second was when he was on the Cavaliers the series was tied 2-2, and the game was also tied 95-95, Lebron would get the ball and hit the game-winning shot.

Set 3 of the 2015 Eastern Semis and with series tied, the Chicago Bulls and Cleveland Cavaliers look to gain the upper hand with a game 3 win. The Bulls had one more play the ball found its way to none other than the Windy City Assassin Derrick Rose, and he got a good look and hit a three off the glass to give the Bulls the win.

The first-round matchup between the Clippers and Spurs was one for the ages they went back and forth, and it came down to a game 7. Both teams were still going back and forth, and it would come down to the wire. The game seemed like it was going into overtime, but Chris Paul had something to say about it. Paul would come down the lane and release an awkward shot that would hit off the glass and would win the Clippers the game and advance to the second round.

Damian Lillard and the Trailblazers took on Russell Westbrook and the Thunder in what was a heated first-round matchup between the two all-star point guards. The Blazers were up 3-1 on the Thunder, and game 5 was in Portland. The game looked like it was going to overtime, but Lillard wanted to get rid of the Thunder that night. Lillard was being defended by Paul George, Lillard would take some dribbles and pull it from the logo range. After he made the shot, he would wave goodbye to the Thunder.

5. Kawhi’s Iconic Moment

Kawhi Leonard’s run as Toronto Raptor was a cinderella story. Nothing was more iconic then the shot Leonard hit in a game 7 of the eastern semi conference against the 76ers. The game was tied at 90 and Leonard would get the ball drive to his right and shoot a fallaway jumper over¬† Joel Embiid the ball would take two bounces before eventually falling in and would advance the Raptors to the Eastern Conference Finals.

4. Ray Allen Keeps Title Dreams Alive

The finals clash between the Miami Heat and the San Antonio Spurs had many heartstopping moments. But arguably the most heartstopping moment was the hero in game 6 of the 2013 NBA finals. With the Heat down, the ball would be put in the hands of LeBron James, James would miss a three, but Chris Bosh would find a way to get the offensive rebound and get the ball to the Ray Allen in the corner for the three. The game would eventually go into overtime.

Western Conference 1st round matchup between Damian Lillard and the  Trailblazers take on James Harden and the Houston Rockets. The Rockets were down 3-2 in the series and needed this game to extend the series. But that was not the case . Lillard would get around the screen and made the most crucial shot in his career.

Game 7 of the NBA Finals would be a back and forth affair between the Golden State Warriors and Cleveland Cavaliers. With the game tied, Kyrie Irving would drive and miss the layup. The Warriors would try to get a fast break, but LeBron would make the chase-down block to keep the game tied.

Game 7 of the NBA Finals, Kyrie Irving would get the ball and have Stephen Curry switch on to him, Irving would get space to create, and he would knock down the three that would eventually be the dagger of the game.
