It’s a great day on the Internet when we finally get video of Chad Kelly running from a house — not his house — while dressed as Woody from Toy Story while being chased out of the house by a guy holding a vacuum attachment. It’s just the kind of madness that you’d expect to see out of Kelly, especially in this case because he allegedly “plopped down on the couch next to a woman who was holding her baby,” and was mumbling incoherently during the incident back on Halloween.
Kelly pleaded guilty to second-degree criminal trespassing on Wednesdayin Arapahoe County District Court and was sentenced to 1 year of supervised probation and 50 hours of community service. The video was released after The Denver Post submitted an open records request to the Arapahoe County District Attorney’s Office.
Kelly had been attending linebacker Von Miller’s annual Halloween party on Oct. 23 at Gothic Theatre when he wandered into a couple’s Englewood home. Kelly appears to be dressed as Woody from the Toy Story movies.
I guess the good news here for Kelly is that the dude with the attachment didn’t come out of a back room with a gun and blow his head off. That’s a positive that came out of all this. The bad news is that the Broncos sent him on his way and now he’s a free agent who is probably headed for a stint in the AAF if it’s still a league in 2020. The XFL seems to be out of the picture since Vince claims he won’t hire guys who have a criminal record.
