I get beat over the head with marketing pitches on a daily basis and it’s rare for many of them to get through, but when Busch comes calling my ears perk up a little bit and I take notice. And yet again Busch hits one out of the park with these Busch cans made with sheetmetal from a Kevin Harvick car. The kicker to all of this is that there were only 40 cans made and fans will have a chance to win one during the Daytona 500, which means you have a legit reason to stay awake during the middle of the race.
You know what I’ve never seen before during a sports telecast? An on-screen trivia contest to win limited edition autographed beer cans.
How to win the Harvick car Busch cans straight from the brand pitch:
- WATCH + PLAY DURING THE DAYTONA 500 LIVE:
- Luckily for the NASCAR die-hards, Busch is inviting nearly 10 million Daytona 500 viewers to play a live, on-screen trivia contest for a chance to win one of the exclusive cans on February 17th. Simply turn on the race, Tweet out your responses to the questions using the hashtags #Car2Can #BuschContest, and you’re in the running for one of the 40 cans available.
- BID HIGH DURING THE CHARITY AUCTION:
- NASCAR novices not to worry though, because Busch is also auctioning off the first can of the collection the week before Daytona in benefit of Keep America Beautiful. The charity auction will take place on February 11th at rallyup.com/car2can, and all proceeds will go directly to KAB and be matched dollar-for-dollar by Busch. KAB’s mission is to improve and beautify community environments across the country every day, making this organization the natural choice to donate to as part of Busch’s ongoing commitment to giving back to and taking care of the great outdoors.
This is intriguing to me with the whole trivia during a race idea. Imagine trivia gambling throughout a sporting event. I’d watch 9 innings of baseball if there was some sort of live in-game gambling trivia element. Busch seems to be onto something here. As for the cans, it’s a genius idea and Kevin’s Daytona car looks amazing. What more is there to say here? I’d love to put one of those in the BC cave, that’s for sure. And I’m not one of these guys that just collects these freebies from the brands. I have a diet Busch dirty 30 sitting in the garage for the 500. I’m all set.
