I don’t have any backstory to this video. I don’t even know who the guy throwing out the ceremonial first pitch was, but funny is funny and this St. Louis groundskeeper taking a wild first pitch to the dome is funny. Not in million years did the thought cross his mind that whoever this guy on the mound is would sail the ball 15 feet high and to the right. The catcher had no chance at reeling this in and there is no way the pitcher could do this again if he tried. All around just a simple, great video.
Now, as far as the guy who got hit was, we do have some backstory. Remember Rally Cat in St. Louis last year who bit the groundskeeper? He’s a refresher:
