Steve Ballmer Has His Eyes On Kawhi Leonard

Whether Kawhi Leonard actually plays in another game this season is anyone’s guess, but one thing is for sure: all this dysfunction is good news for teams who want to pry him away from the Spurs this offseason. ESPN’s Brian Windhorst confirmed “several NBA general managers” will call to inquire, which is apparently something they normally wouldn’t do after a normal, drama-free Spurs season.

And ESPN’s Zach Lowe confirmed Windy’s report by saying the “vultures are circling:”

One of those thirsty vultures appears to be the LA Clippers. Owner Steve Ballmer let that be known a couple days ago after liking a Kawhi-Clippers tweet:

Ballmer later unliked the tweet but the Internet never forgets and now we all know the Clips (probably) will have interest. And I wouldn’t put it past them to pull it off either — they have draft capital in two probable lottery picks and a roster of decent players on good contracts. Also Jerry West is running the damn ship.
