Texas has a little quarterback controversy on their hands after true freshman quarterback Sam Ehlinger nearly sent USC fans home in tears last Saturday.
Ehlinger started the game on a rocky note, but he finished with 298 yards and two touchdowns against the No. 4 team in the nation. This 91-yard drive that gave Texas a brief 17-14 lead in the fourth quarter came so, so close to being the signature moment of his collegiate career (two games in!):

Texas may have lost, but Ehlinger was the big winner of the night — ESPN’s Todd McShay was quick to throw “QB of the future” hype in his direction:
