The Brewers aren’t expected to make too much noise in the NL Central this season, but at least they have a pretty solid farm system to keep fans interested in the future. And “solid” is probably an understatement here, as they had seven guys crack Baseball Prospectus’ Top 101 prospects. Not bad.
One guy who will probably break into the majors this season is left-handed pitcher Josh Hader (BP #19, BA #33). The guy is known for his funky delivery and struck out 161 hitters in 126 minor league innings last season. The most important part of his scouting report? Plus hair — a a snippet from BP(paywall):
Despite some fly-away and volume concerns, Hader’s mane rates as a plus weapon, with ample #flow and advanced marketing potential.
Sadly for thirsty Brewers fans, Hader and his flow are already taken by Maria Macias — she’s studying Sports Business at Texas A&M.
