Russell Westbrook, noted triple-double maven, learned a valuable lesson tonight: make sure the referees are looking when you pass them the ball.
During the first quarter of tonight’s game against the Hornets, Russ tossed the basketball at an unsuspecting ref and drilled the poor guy right in the dome. It seemed pretty harmless, but he got with the technical foul anyway:

To be honest, I’m a little surprised he didn’t get ejected considering Austin Rivers got yanked for “pushing” a ref last week:
