So it looks like eSports is on it’s way to becoming mainstream
As far as I can tell, this story I read on ESPN yesterday is proving that statement. Warriors owner Peter Guber, Ted Leonsis, and Magic Johnson are a part of a group that just bought the eSports team named Team Liquid. So we now have a collection of sports businessmen who own teams in the 4 major sports taking a risk and investing in this, which to me says one day this is going to be mainstream, if not already. It’s pretty crazy. Who would’ve thought that some guys who are nasty on the sticks have a chance to potentially make money like a professional athlete. Just wait, before long we here at BC are going to be posting the hot girlfriend of some kid who crushes it on League Of Legends.
