Iowa State cheerleader Kate Coker was cheering in her last game tonight in Chicago when she took a basketball off the face late in the second half of the Cyclones game against Virginia. The CBS crew noticed the kicked ball drilling Coker and even gave viewers a slow-mo of the violent collision between the game ball and Coker’s face.
It wasn’t pretty.

But Kate is a gamer and returned to the court and closed out her college career like a champ. And was able to find a little humor in all of it.
