Say what you want about the Dallas Mavericks, but they always seem to find a way to be competitive. Even after they fail to make huge free agent splashes every offseason, Rick Carlisle always finds a way to make his guys play at an above average clip. It doesn’t really do anything for them in the grand scheme of winning an NBA Title, but we guess it’s better than tanking.
However, there is a major variable looming this offseason: master recruiter Chandler Parsons can opt out of his contract. He’s going to command another monster max deal if that goes down, so Cubes might have to pony up to keep his bro.
Hopefully Chandler doesn’t leave; we honestly don’t know if the Mavericks Dancers can handle the team heartthrob leaving — it’s all they have.
