Schefter: Was The Commissioner Lenient Enough On Ray Rice?

I’m just glad that ESPN had time today between Frank Caliendo bits to even get to the news that Ray Rice was suspended for two games for knocking out his girlfriend (now wife) in a casino elevator.
Now, as for the “Was the commissioner lenient enough?” discussion, Schefter might be onto something. Have we gone too far when a guy coldcocks his wife’s face has to sit for two games? That seems harsh when we look at recent NFL suspensions.
One could argue that Goodell has gone over the line with this Rice suspension.
