CC Sabathia Selling California House With Insane Man Cave — $1,500,000

I’ve seen a few Athlete Real Estate man caves over the years and CC Sabathia has just gone to the top for best man caves that we know about. It just happens that CC is selling the house, a 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom dimepiece in Fairfield, California for $1,500,000. After spending weeks looking at ordinary houses, Sabathia comes out of nowhere with this place that also has a pool your girlfriend/wife will lose her shit over.

Our L.A. Times real estate buddy Neal Leitereg points out that the Big Buffet and his wife Amber bought the place in 2004 for $1.065 million.

According to a 2007 San Francisco Chronicle story about this house:

The theater area boasts five flat-screen televisions, as well as the enormous projector screen. A curved ticker provides real-time news and sports scores. The bar offers three beers on tap: Bud Light, Heineken and Miller Genuine Draft. Nearby is the black leather barber chair — and the barber makes house calls for Sabathia and his son.

Sports memorabilia is showcased under glass tile flooring. Framed baseball jerseys line the wall — Ichiro, Chavez, Grady Sizemore — many with personal inscriptions.

The covered cabana patio has a fireplace with a 45-inch flat-screen TV mounted above it. Ceiling fans and heat lamps allow for year-round outdoor entertaining. The pool features a waterfall and a grotto with a hot tub and, yes, another TV.

Sold. Just leave the place as is. I’ll take it.

Other Highlights Of CC’s Impressive Pad:

• Central air; .43 acres to maintain

• 4,100 sq. ft. so you won’t be wasting your time cleaning some massive place

• The place was featured on a 2007 episode of Cribs
