It took all of one play for Super Bowl 48’s narrative to evaporate. A little more than three hours later, the Seahawks handed the Broncos a 43-8 ass-whipping for the ages.

The game was supposed to be a career-defining moment for Denver’s Peyton Manning. Perhaps it was. Meanwhile, Seattle proved the age-old axiom that defense indeed wins games.

Twitter watched it all: from Joe Namath’s false-start coin toss to the 9/11 truther interrupting Super Bowl MVP Malcolm Smith’s post-game presser.
