You can’t make this stuff up. Kellen Winslow Jr., gave NFL fans the type of sideshow attraction they love heading into Championship Sunday.
NJ.com reported Friday that when Winslow was arrested outside a Target in New Jersey for possession of synthetic marijuana in November, police were called to the scene because a woman thought she saw him jerking it in his car. They found synthetic pot, Vaseline and a disoriented Soldier.
In his defense, Winslow told cops he was just looking for Boston Market. He said through his publicist on Friday that he was just changing his clothes.
Sure he was.
As news broke of the allegations against Winslow, Twitter pounced all over it. This is probably not how the Jets wanted to make news as the NFL looks forward to the Super Bowl at the Meadowlands.
