Former NBA all-star Tom Chambers was arrested on suspicion of DUI charges on Saturday in Scottsdale, Ariz. as he returned from watching Arizona State lose to Stanford in the PAC-12 title game in Tempe. If Chambers was a Sun Devils’ fan, his night went from bad to worse.
Chambers, who now serves as a broadcaster for the Phoenix Suns, was stopped by police after they say they observed his white pickup truck weaving.
After admitting to having a few beers — police found two open bottles of Michelob Ultra in the truck — Chambers refused field sobriety tests and behaved “somewhat belligerently,” per the AZCentral.com story:
When asked to perform a sobriety test, Chambers refused, saying, “I can’t even do the nose thingy-muh-bobber sober.”…
The officers handcuffed Chambers after he attempted to walk back to his vehicle, saying: “I know your boss” and “After all I do for Scottsdale PD,” the report said.
Not a good look, Chambers. When a guy drinks Michelob Ultra and has a profile pic like this, the attitude isn’t a surprise.
