Tim Hudson is returning to the Bay Area. The former Oakland A’s and Atlanta Braves pitcher signed a two-year deal with the San Francisco 49ers on Tuesday.
Wait…WHAT? Well, that’s what it says in today’s edition of The Hawk Eye in Burlington, Iowa.
Of course, Hudson signed a 2-year, $23 million deal with the San Francisco Giants on Tuesday. BC reader Micha Hales (@thaHalestorm) caught the Iowa newspaper’s error and alerted us to it on Twitter.
Good thing for Hudson, too. He can’t be that mobile after the season-ending ankle injury he suffered in July. Probably couldn’t run the read-option better than Colin Kaepernick. Probably.
Looks like the Niners will have to settle for Barry Zito. He is available.
