Longtime BC readers will remember the story of The Booty Lounge, the stripper-laden tailgating bus in Detroit that ceased operations in 2011 after a few news reports and some holier-than-thou community outrage. (They were a different group than the Tubgaters.)
Well, the Lions (6-4) lead the NFC North again, and… the Booty Lounge is vowing a comeback! The only news that would be more exciting to Lions’ fans would be if Barry Sanders planned to suit up again.
“GREAT NEWS, LOOK FOR US BACK AT THE LIONS TAILGATES!!! WE WERE THERE DURING THE WORST AND NOW WE WILL BE THERE FOR THEIR BEST! THANK YOU CITY OF DETROIT”
Nice touch with the all caps, BL.
The Lions next home game is against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday (1 p.m. ET on Fox).
The MLive story hints that IF the Booty Lounge makes good on its promise to return, it may show up in Detroit’s Eastern Market.
If the Lions make the playoffs, don’t Calvin Johnson, Matthew Stafford and Ndamukong Suh have to get on this bus? At that point, it’s a certified good luck charm, isn’t it?
