Philly Fans Traded Andrew Bynum Jerseys For Tickets To Boo Him

Andrew Bynum Returns Philly

Andrew Bynum returns to Philadelphia as a member of the Cleveland Cavaliers on Friday night. This is the same Andrew Bynum to whom the Sixers paid $17 million dollars in 2012-13 for exactly zero games played (because of chronic knee problems).

Though Bynum is far from fully healed — he “is a shell of himself” by his own admission — he has played for Cleveland this season and is expected to suit up against Philly.

In anticipation of the angry mob that will welcome Bynum back to the Wells Fargo Center, Philly sports talk station 97.5-The Fanatic (WPEN-FM) encouraged its listeners to trade any Bynum merchandise they bought last year in exchange for tickets to boo his ass in South Philly on Friday.

As you can see in the pic above, plenty of fans took advantage of the offer. We’re expecting customized jerseys at the game, too.

The Philly fan sentiment is pretty point-blank:

This could get ugly.
